Introduction	Born in the California Bay Area city of Oakland, emerging technologies have always surrounded every aspect of my life. With the California State University of Berkley in my back yard, I began programming in 1970 and the passion for technology took root. With 40+ years of hands-on computer experience, it still amazes my friends, family, and co-workers how much like a kid-in-a-candyshop I can be when new technology hits the internet, tech mags or the store shelves. Whatever it is, I gotta know about, talk about it and write about it!
