| Introduction | Last year was a whirlwind. In May of 2009, I married my best friend after 7 years together. We went on our honeymoon shortly after, and came back with an unexpected gift. I found out I was pregnant in June of 2009. We were ecstatic. We spent the rest of the year planning and preparing for life with our little girl. That all changed on December 1st. November 30th I had a doctor's appointment and heard the heartbeat. The next day I noticed our little one wasn't very active. I called the doctor who advised me to go home, eat, do a kick count, and if there was still nothing, come in. My husband and I ended up heading to the hospital at 6:30pm on December 1st. The nurse searched for a heartbeat with the doppler...no luck. I knew it wasn't going to be good news. The doctor came in with the ultrasound machine and confirmed there was no longer a heartbeat. That day will haunt me forever. I was induced, and Lilah Eve was born sleeping at 8:01pm on December 2nd--2lbs 11oz. We love her so much and miss her every day. I got my second BFP on 4/20/10, hoping and praying that this will be our take home baby. We love you already New Year's baby. |
