Introduction I am a mom, wife and artist, but I am also a two time cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with my first cancer, breast, in 2004. I endured a mastectomy to my left breast and went through chemotherapy and radiation. My second was diagnosed in 2006 and it was endometrial cancer. This cancer was caused by my taking Tamoxifen to deal with my original breast cancer. (There is a very small chance of this happening). I found out in late 2006 that I have the breast cancer gene, so at that time I had a mastectomy on my right breast. After I was released from the cancer hospital in our city, I pretty much figured I was in the clear. Well, in this past two weeks I have been told that I have a mass on my left anterior 6th rib and a spot on the left side of my skull. Nothing can prepare you for the dread and on-going nightmarish reality that comes with such news. However, I have always been pretty optimistic and I am striving to be so now. Changes in my diet, meditation and doing more exercise are all part of my plan to get healthy.
Interests art, reading, movies, walks in the woods, coffee breaks with friends, etc.
Favorite Movies Juno, No Country For Old Men, Sweeny Todd, American Beauty, Gone With The Wind, Sleepless In Seattle, etc.
Favorite Music I have an XM satellite radio in my art studio. It is what i listen to 95% of the time. I start with new age type music and work up to music that has a faster beat to keep me going. For non art times, I love a lot of different types of music. As long as it feel authentic and real, it's probably okay with me. I do love Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, U2, Feist, White Stripes and many more.
Favorite Books Any book I read is usually an art book or a biography.

The hair from your last haircut ... what would it say about your new style?

That it was about time I made a change! LOL
