Introduction	I am a student attending Austin Community College pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. This blog is being created as a requirement for my Texas Government class. I am 28 years old and have voted twice in my life. My first vote was for Kerry and my second for President Obama. This year will also be the first time I vote for a Texas Governor. My main political influences have come from my husband and I’ve had no real political involvement. I realize that the degree I'm pursuing requires significant knowledge of our political system and hope to gain a lot from this Texas Government class.
