Introduction I am more at home in my head, in nature, or within the realms of art than anywhere in the real world. DANCING is the only thing that ALWAYS makes me happy. I have been and done many things. I will do more. I should have been born a wanderer, a bard, a hero and a boy-- so in many other time periods, but not this one. However, I learn to make due.
Interests Dancing and Shakespeare, above all else. Tae Kwon Do, fencing, & other martial arts, for a close second. Walking forever, names & their meanings, corsets, clothes, anything renaissance, good books, bad books, music & learning to spin it, fire & learning to spin it, things people leave by the side of the road, looking at foreign ceilings exquisitely-good food & drink, sake & Frambois, watching people in cafes, learning every language I can-- fluently, the histories and meanings of words, roses, irises, flowers & trees, sketching & poetry, Bachelor Buttons, things that happen in the sky, things that happen at midnight (adventures), gypsies (the real ones), pirates (all kinds), the entirety of Ireland and it's people, the violin & the penny whistle, laughter & laughter & more laughter, staring out windows, listening to thunderstorms, daydreaming, hot showers with cold air coming in through the window, surprising myself when I know something, kitties, long-flowy-skirts to sleep and lounge in, smells, Oh! ...and Tea.
Favorite Movies Fight Club, Amelie, Under the Tuscan Sun, The Fountian, Life is Beautiful, Hero, Chocolate, and Inception...to name a few. I don't watch TV, but if I still did: Slings & Arrows, Jeeves & Wooster, Sifle & Ollie, and Full Metal Alchemist. Oh, yah, and the guilty pleasure of Buffy...don't judge.
Favorite Music MUSIC is my favorite. No, really.
Favorite Books House of Leaves, Ishmael, much of Tom Robbins' work (though he is most definitely crazy), Bruce Lee - Artist of Life, The Count of Monte Cristo, David Copperfield, the Song of the Lioness Quartet (series), A Song of Ice and Fire (series), & the Sabriel series (by Garth Nix)...and Tolkein, but that's a given...isn't it? (As for the stage)... PLAYS: Metamorphosis, Arcadia, Cloud Tectonics, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Angels in America, the Laramie Project. MUSICALS: the Last Five Years, Into the Woods, Caberet, and almost anything written by William Shakespeare.
