| Introduction | Graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM, 2002-2007). Motivated by biological and chemistry topics involved in the drug development, since the third year of studies was part of the Farmacognosy and Traditional Medicine laboratory in which collaborated as a research assistant. In the last years of studies, the “rational” design and molecular optimization of new drugs kept his attention, the genome project and the new tools implemented in computational devices helped in this new “objective”. As a consequence, he decided to carry out his pre-professional practices at Universidad Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), specifically at Bioinformatics and Biology molecular Unit. During his firsts and last years in the laboratory, he focused in the study of infectious diseases using new disciplines and tools such structural bioinformatics, chemoinformatics, etc. Among the computational tools that he utilizes highlight Autodock, Gaussian03, among others. Nowadays, he is exploring the “wet lab” world, in an attempt to corroborate the theoretical at Universidad de Navarra (UNAV), Unidad de I+D de medicamentos. |
