Introduction | How far would you go to create a miracle? Two near-death encounters have left Myx Amens with an exteme case of synesthesia and a chronic bout of absolute sleeplessness. He fills his endless hours by uncovering the intimate secrets of all those who interest him--or those who dare to use him. A 250-year-old puzzle box holds the secret of Miracle, Massachusetts' shocking origin--and the motive for a recent series of grisly murders. Follow Myx for an unblinking forty-two hours as he pits his synesthetic brain against a past genius, his final follower, and a killer who rips tattoos from victims after neatly shooting them. Myx bets the last of his innocence against betrayal, seduction, and his third (and probably final) death. |
Interests | synesthesia, Dave Diotalevi was trained in nuclear physics and engineering, but has traded up to the fusion of words. He is a published nonfiction author and poet, and has also written feature articles for national magazines. In addition, he created a trademarked temporary tattoo language system that was licensed to a national marketing corporation. For relaxation, Dave runs every day, and has an ongoing continuous streak of over thirty years. Dave said, "To keep a running streak like this going, you have to be both stubborn and lucky." Those who know him can tell you which outweighs the other. Dave lives in central Massachusetts, in a town much like Miracle. MIRACLE MYX is his debut novel. |
