Introduction	Victoria Nahum became an advocate in 2006 when 3 different members of her family became infected with healthcare-associated infections in 3 different hospitals in 3 different states, all within 10 months' time. Her infection on her breast implant silently sickened her for 6 years until she made the decision to have them taken out. At the explant surgery the surgeon found globby, shiny staph epidermidis slathered all over her implant. That same year her stepson, Joshua, a 27 year old skydiver died from a gram negative infection around his brain that pushed his brain into his spinal cord, making him a permanent ventilator-dependent quadriplegic prior to his death. She and her husband, Armando created Safe Care Campaign to help prevent unnecessary harm from happening to other patients while receiving medical care. The ravages of her 6 year infection continue till this day. Neuropathies, weakness, chronic fatigue, immune deficiencies and pain are her daily challenges which she is thankful are eased by proper medication. Sickie Vickie is a staunch advocate for change, taking a positive road for action now. The American Healthcare System is broken, but we can fix it. All of us, together.
