Introduction	Most people know me as Wesley Ja'far Porter the drummer, but some people also know me as a preacher and public speaker on issues related to Islam. Becoming Muslim made me appreciate this great republic of the United States of America even more than I did as a non-Muslim. In no small part, because it taught me a deep appreciation for the liberty that we have here. Also, so many of the fundamental principals that America was founded upon, are also Islamic principals, and America is the most just, charitable and God fearing nation in known human history. My hope is to simply use my insight as a Muslim American to help non-Muslim countrymen understand the beauty of Islamic spirituality, rather than the "political Islamist" fascistic ideology that is often presented as "real" Islam, and also to educate my brothers and sisters in Islam on the great principals of this republic and that America is far from an enemy of Islam, but is a nation where Islam can, and is, flourishing.
