Introduction	My motivation for starting this blog was a desire to put myself through the same paces I had to go through during my time as a professional technical analyst. However, now I come to publish I’m curious about the kind of readership I’ll attract. During the 18 years that I worked as technical analyst, most of the world’s major investment banks subscribed to my work at one time or another. However, relying on them as a primary source of income ultimately caused problems. One big issue was this: If you sell a service to a few big clients for a high price, how do you justify selling a similar service to the mass market at retail prices? The answer is of course, that you can’t without radically dumbing down. The only way to put the same work before a mass audience is to sell it cheaply, or make it free to everyone, including the banks. This option was never open to me so long as I relied on the banks to make a living. Now that I don’t have to any more I’m free to experiment. If you like this site please let others know about it. Until advertising revenues give me reason to do otherwise, I will be doing what I do here in my spare time, on a zero budget.
