| Introduction | I started tinkering with audio as a child back in the 70's, building Radio-Shack kits and tearing apart anything with a speaker and amp in it. This led me into designing my own speakers and eventually amplifiers and preamplifiers. Along the way, never leaving well-enough alone, I started to modifiy all of the stereo components that passed through my hands in an effort to improve the performance. I never could afford to buy the super high-end stuff but I could modifiy what was at hand to make it better. Most equipment can be improved with some simple modifications - and it's very rewarding to say you've done it yourself!
