Introduction	I'm a 31 year-old arm chair sports fanatic. Its well over a decade since I last did any meaningful sport (apart from golf but I tend to spend more time enjoying the post round lunch than on the links itself) yet I still kid myself that I have the talent and fitness that I had when I was playing sport 6 days a week at school (and the truth is that I was never either that talented or fit). So the time has come to get off my arse and put my money where my mouth is - so have I chosen to do one of the sports I used to play so often; cricket, rugby, hockey? No. I've gone and signed up for an 800 mile cycle ride from Switzerland to Norfolk (for charity Walking with the Wounded) and I have just four weeks to get fit. That in itself sounds tough enough, but it gets worse. Up until a week ago I had never even sat on a road bike. So wish me luck and I hope you enjoy following my travails as I emabark into the unknown.
