Introduction Dr. Boyd is senior historian for the United States Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command. He is a published author and has served as a professor of education and history. He has lectured at the University of Florida, St. Leo University, and the University of Central Florida. Published nationally and internationally,Boyd is the recipient of the 2005 Justin Winsor Prize for historical research and a nominee for the 2006 Henry Barnard Prize. He recently co-authored the award-winning book "Turning Point 9.11." Dr. Boyd resides with his wife in Warner Robins, Georgia and Bryson City, North Carolina. He is currently writing a book on the history of literacy and reading in Appalachia, and regularly speaks across the United States and abroad.
