| Introduction | Born and bred in New Zealand, like so many New Zealanders the OE called and I took off to see the world as soon as I had worked out my teaching bond. I like to call myself a traveller rather than a tourist.Having travelled to over 75 countries, my travel usually tends to be at a basic comfort level. I love to meet the people, visit inside their classrooms,wander the streets and buy from their markets,although I never really got to enjoy the haggling. I also enjoy seeing the amazing architecture,arts and crafts, music and cultures in different countries. I eventually came home, married and had two children who were educated in 4 countries. One lives in Japan, the other UK currently.Itchy feet are hereditary! New Zealand always has real appeal, and we enjoy seeing our own country, but still have a list of more new places to visit ...!
