| Introduction | I was frequently in church when I was young and I regularly heard the gospel (that Jesus Christ had come to earth, died on the cross, and rose again as seen in 1 Corinthians 15:3-5). I needed forgiveness for my sins, and I needed to accept His free gift. I made a profession of salvation at a very young age and started growing to love the Lord. When I reached high school, Christ took backseat in comparison to the other things in life such as school, sports, etc. Through a process of events, I had the blessing of going to Pillsbury Baptist Bible College. I started doubting my salvation during my sophomore year since I could not remember the exact date or what I had understood at that point and what I said in my prayer. I struggled quite a bit until I realized that by grace alone that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9), not by a specific prayer or date. I am so grateful to the Lord for His salvation when I did not deserve it (Romans 5:8)! I was married after college and my husband and I are planning on being Bible college teachers on a mission field if the Lord allows it and does not come back first! Crystal |
