| Introduction | Hello! and Welcome to my JOURNAL...I'm now Retired, having been a Telephonist all my working life. I am a Divorcee, but have been with my Partner Allan for the last 29yrs.But we have always lived seperately, and it works for us. He is my Best Friend and Soulmate.My interests are varied,including Music,Poetry,Cookery and my Home and Garden....William Wordsworth being one of my favourite English Poets...and I collect anything and everything about his life and times. I enjoy Emily Dickinson, and have loved Rod McKuen since the 70's and saw him live in Sheffield in the early 80's.I also love communication, and have written to an American since Schooldays.We have met twice in ENGLAND, and I visited her in MINNESOTA with my Partner in 2000. I was diagnosed with DIABETES 2 in 2001, and also after being unwell for over 2yrs was diagnosed with CICATRICIAL PEMPHIGOID in 2007. It is a rare condition (IMPAIRED IMMUNE SYSTEM)....there isn't a cure, but treatable. Update: progressed to Pre Cancer 2010,recently diagnosed with Pharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma in May 2011,received 7 weeks of daily Radiotherapy,which affected Saliva glands, and tastebuds, BUT,I'm still here. |
