| Introduction | Smatterwithme came about because of my obsession with all things hand made. I’m a dabbler, a maker, a creative jack-of-all-trades. At craft fairs I constantly talk myself out of things because, “I can just make that.” I learned to knit after I finding the perfect handmade hat. I took up soap-making when my favorite natural soap got too expensive at the co-op. I started canning when I found grandma’s old pickle recipe. I can’t look at a magazine without tearing out half the pages and thinking “I can make that!” Nor can I watch Food Network without racing to the kitchen and grabbing an apron. (Okay, that’s a slight exaggeration, but you get the idea.) And so, I often ask myself, “What’s the matter with me?” Then I reply, “Absolutely nothin’!” Hope you enjoy my smatterings. |
