| Introduction | I am a teacher, a coach, a lover of life, sarcastic, a Pisces, an optimist, a summer person, a sports enthusiast, and someone who will do anything for a laugh. I have been a quadriplegic since 1996 when I fell from a third floor balcony and broke my neck. This was at a party on graduation day at UMass Amherst. At the time of my accident I was a semiprofessional soccer player with professional aspirations. Since then I have been a model, a soccer coach at the college and high school levels. I have taught at the elementary, middle school, high school, college and grad levels, been a tutor, worked in finance, done motivational speaking, worked on a class action lawsuit, worked on a presidential campaign (John Kerry 2004), been to a Democratic National Convention, been to Superbowl XXXVI in New Orleans etc. I have a bachelor’s in Exercise Science (UMass 1996)I earned an NSCAA Regional soccer coaching diploma (Harvard University 1998) I earned an NSCAA National soccer coaching diploma (Amherst College 1998) I have a Certificate Degree in Sports Broadcasting, Journalism and Marketing (BU 2002) I have a Master’s in Education (Gordon College 2010) |
