| Introduction | Thanks for looking at my blog....I hope I am an interesting person, I am a nearly 51-year old Mom of three beautiful children, Joseph, 19, Kyle, 16 and Hannah Joy, 12. I miss the Texas hill country and Texas in general, we live outside Minneapolis now, for 20 years. I am a Catholic Christian, my faith is the cornerstone of my life, even though I struggle with many aspects of it; I am a recovering addict, opiates and alcohol, clean now since Sept. 30, 2007. This is my third, and last, recovery. I love to read, write and listen to the best alternative country music in the world...of course, that would be Steve Earle...I've been a big fan since 1986...I grew up on that "new" good country music, Waylon Jennings and Jerry Jeff Walker, Ray Wiley Hubbard and Gary P. Nunn. I have a BA in Journalism from the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas, have one sister, Jennifer, and my Daddy and his wife. My Mama, Joyce Ballard Bostwick, died suddenly on March 21, 1994, changing everything about my life. I miss her more everyday and just hope I am leading the kind of life she had hoped for me. She was my biggest fan and supporter. To her, I dedicate this blog...and my love always.... |
