Introduction	I have been a vegetarian ( lacto ) since 1978 when I lived in Kashmir and saw the open butchers stalls with goats and sheeps heads lined up on a shelf with their tongues sticking out and flies all over ! They used to gut the animals right out in the street and then throw the most disgusting parts to the stray dogs waiting for scraps . On certain holidays the open sewers would run red with blood from sacrificed animals !Have not had meat since then -except when a restaurant has given me something by mistake ,so I usually manage to spit it out before I swallow .This blog will review restaurants sometimes and make comments on food issues . I try and eat ONLY organic food and grow as much of my own food as possible . It's amazing how much food you can grow in a small city lot. Just think how much energy could be saved if everyone grew a little plot of veg .
