Introduction	We live in a terraced house with a pocket handkerchief-sized garden. At the local allotment site we have plot 25, which is a half-size plot, approximately 30ft x 30ft. As well as somewhere to grow some fruit and veg of our own, the size rules also allow us to grow flowers. Although not an officially organic plot, our intention is to try and use natural pest deterrents where possible, such as copper tape to deter slugs, inter-cropping onions with carrots to deter carrot fly, and using netting to keep the birds, badgers and deer at bay.
