| Introduction | I lived in Japan for five years, and eventually married my Japanese girlfriend. This has helped me maintain my spoken Japanese (it's crap) and also my dependence on Japanese food. I'm a woolly liberal greenie, so I try not to think about the eco-consequences of flying to Japan every year to see the in-laws and pig out on sushi. I guess I make up for it by not owning a car. |
