| Introduction | Brie Jessen is the National Youth Representative for New Zealand Red Cross. As part of this role she sits on the National Board, and chairs the National Youth Panel, a governance group which provides a youth perspective on policy and strategic direction. Brie is currently at Victoria University of Wellington, where she is completing her Master’s thesis in sociolinguistics, looking at how women in certain minority religious groups use language to help create their identity. Brie has been involved with Red Cross for over three years, and has been involved with the National Youth Panel almost since its inception in 2006. |
