| Introduction | -Not knowing where I stood politically, I took the survey Where Do I Fit? The results proclaimed myself as a liberal person, which I totally agree with, because I'm leveled on both political views but always drift to the democratic group. -The first time I voted was this recent Election of 2008, the most nervous exerience I had. The location I cast my vote was at Chinatown off of North Lamar in Austin. The line was short when I went with my boyfriend, but minutes passed and the line was all over the place. A man showed me a practice voting thing which was real cool, because it was so high tech, but I never saw a voting booth look so complicated. Which made me even more nervous because I didn't want to screw up my first time voting. I was so happy my first vote was for an election of an African American as a choice for President. -The reason why I'm taking this class is because It's a requirement for basics, not only that I would like to discover and learn interesting things that would grasp my attention. This semester I'm trying my hardest to keep my grades up so the grade I'm willing to sustain is a high B or above. |
