Introduction I was born in St. George, Utah on October 26, in the 20th century. I lived there through my kindergarten year. I attended Harrington, Shelley, AFJH, AFHS, Dixie, and BYU. I have 1 brother, 2 nephews, 4 nieces, 7 great nephews and 12 great nieces. I taught 5th grade for 33 years at Alpine Elementary. I have been listed 7 times in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." I have also received the district award "Spirit of Alpine"; Runner-up for the district "Accent On Excellence" award, 2012 "Teacher of the Year", and received a national award...Alpha Delta Kappa's "Recognizing Excellence for Doing Good." I have also traveled with the "Freedom's Foundation at Valley Forge" and Alpine District's TAH on 7 US history trips. Huge highlights have been placing in Utah and in the nation in several forensic events in high school and college; attending the 1993 NBA All- Star Weekend activities; the 1996 "Dream Team" exhibition game; 1997 and 1998 NBA Finals; 2002 Winter Olympics; a Red Sox game at Fenway Park; 2010 NCAA Sweet 16 and Elite 8; and the 2012 Rose Parade! I was an ordinance worker at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple for 16 years. Retired from teaching May 30, 2013.
