Harrell grew up and graduated in Picher, Oklahoma in the Quapaw Nation and from the University of Tulsa, (BM) Manhattan School of Music (MM). Harrell has performed, taught, conducted and directed for 43 years across the nation and for the last 32 years in the New York City Performing Arts world. Project Awards Harrell has performed in, collaborated on and coached projects that have received the Oscar, Tony, Obie, Grammy, Drama Critics, ASCAP, Golden Globe, Canadian Film Festival and Dramatist Guild Awards. Artistic Director He is the Artistic Director and developer of the Magic Circle Opera Repertory Ensemble, Inc. of New York, The American Masters Arts Festival, The Ned Rorem Competition LLC and the Magic Circle Training.
