| Introduction | Professional photographer based in Johannesburg, specialising in portraiture, travel and events photography. My non-photographic background includes a Bachelors of Commerce degree in Information Systems from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2004 and having worked in various IT support functions in the UK and South Africa. I love doing research on almost any topic and teaching myself new things ('Researcher' could be my part-time profession). When I take a photo I think about the light and the energy of the person and the surroundings and I try to capture that. When traveling I prefer the wandering around instead of having fixed plans. I prefer taking candid photos of people and street scenes instead of buildings and famous attractions. I prefer people watching instead of browsing through museums, galleries and churches. |
