Introduction Portland, Oregon writer Terry Simons is the founder of Round Bend Press Detritus, Round Bend Press Books, and a confluent writing/editing service to aid and abet renegade authors. He has worked as a day laborer, factory drone, community organizer, journalist, media consultant and freelance writer. He holds degrees from the University of Oregon and Portland State University, where he studied journalism, politics, literature and history. He is the author most recently of "Nightscape in Empire & The Talent Poems," and "The Children of Vaughn: The Story of Professional Baseball in Portland, Oregon (1901-2010)."
