| Introduction | Native of Savannah, GA and have lived in Newnan, GA for 29 years. For 12 years I was a sports writer for the Newnan Times-Herald where I covered a number of high school sports in the area including a number of championship events. I received three first place awards and a third from the Georgia Press Association during my tenure. I was a contributor to the East Coweta Journal and have worked with the baseball and softball programs at East Coweta High School in Sharpsburg. For a number of years I have been the public address announcer for the softball team at EC which won the state championship in 2017. I am also a play-by-play dude for streamcity.org where I do a number of games. The blog has been around awhile and is mainly used to keep my journalistic skills in shape. I hoped it would help land me a job with a paper. That hasn't been the case but I do have have a steady number of readers for which I am eternally grateful. Keep reading and spread the word. Also, listened for games on streamcity.org as you never know when I am on the air. |
