| Introduction | RENE BOY E. ABIVA is a native of Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya and now residing in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija; a GUMIL- Filipinas (Metro Manila) member and writes in Ilokano, Filipino, and English. He is a translator, editor, musician, visual artist, sculptor, editorial cartoonist, and journalist. He is a fellow of the 58th UP National Writers Workshop, LIRA Poetry Clinic, Pasnaan 9 Jeremias Calixto Ilokano Writers Workshop, 6th Cordillera Creative Writing Workshop, and 11th Palihang Rogelio Sicat. His caliber on poetry was recognized by Premyong LIRA, Saniata Prize 2019, UP Likhaan Poetry Slam, Gumil-Oahu, Premio Gabriela, Lazaro Francisco Cultural Heritage Association, Drunken Poetry Night, BJMP Regional Literary Contest, and Pinduteros Readers Choice Award. In 2021, he was named as PASNAAN 9 Most-Outstanding Fellow. |
