About me

Introduction	My parents were missionaries for the Lutheran church and much of my childhood was spent blissfully in the jungles and on the beaches of the island of Borneo in S.E. Asia. An AMAZING place! After high school I moved to Canada to pursue a career in theatre, first with classical ballet companies, and then in musicals. I travelled to Hawaii for the first time with a tour of Phantom of the Opera, and felt like I had come home, so I decided I needed to move here. In '99 I made the move to Oahu and taught performing arts for 9 years in Honolulu, before leaving the city and moving to Kauai to begin the life I have now. Officially I was on a "sabbatical" from teaching, with the hopes of getting into environmental work of some kind. I have been learning SO much since I moved here about what we are doing to our world and felt a need to start talking about it with others, which has now turned into this blog!
