| Introduction | I’m a father, a son, a brother, a husband, an uncle, a nephew, an employee, and a friend. I started riding my bike, when back trouble and arthritis ended my jogging days. What I have come to love is the exhilaration of my blood pumping, my muscles working, and the wind in my face. Sometimes it’s sunny; sometimes it’s overcast; sometimes it’s windy; sometimes it’s cold. Sometimes it’s wet, and sometimes unbearably hot and steamy. I love the elements of the outdoors, and the dynamic nature of it all. I also love a destination ride. Mostly, I love feeling like a 10 year old boy again. Every time I get on my bike! As I have increased the distance I ride these days, I also have lots of time to think. This blog is a vehicle for me to explore some of these thoughts while riding, and hopefully I can get you thinking about maybe getting on your bike (or back on your bike) and joining me as I explore this life – the good, the bad, and the just plain ugly.
