| Introduction | I am currently a student at Haywood Community College taking tranfer classes, and am also working with the US Forest Service's Southern Research Station out of the Bent Creek Experimental Forest. I work for a Forest Entomologist who's line of study includes biological control of hemlock wooly adelgid, laurel wilt/redbay ambrosia beetle alternate host susceptibility, and possibly soon (I hope!), thousand cankers disease/walnut twig beetle early detection processes. I have graduated from HCC with my Associate Degree in Applied Science with a concentration in Forest Management, and plan on attending the University of Idaho starting in the Fall of 2011. |
