| Introduction | I recently moved to Boston from DC to be closer to my sister, who lives up here with her husband and new baby. I moved overseas when I was nine years old and spent my formative years in Italy & England. I picked up some good tendencies during my time there, including an appreciation for good food, wine, and travel and also a few bad ones (such as a closet love of bad techno music). I came back to the States for college and ended up in living in DC after graduation. I have been called a “foodie”, but I would argue that is hard to grow up in Italy and not be addicted to good food. The decision to make this foray into veganism is prompted by both health reasons & environmental/animal rights reasons. The questions is, can I still love food and cooking as much as I do without the cheese and the bacon? |
