| Introduction | It seems like all my life the Hare Krishnas have been there. I was only six years old when Srila Prabhupada came to America. When I was fifteen a friend of mine gave me a copy of "Bhagavad Gita As It Is". He had received it for free from a devotee at the airport and didn't want it. Me? I was fascinated by the book and read it from cover to cover, understanding only a little of what I read. What I did understand is that I liked to chant the Maha-Mantra and the more I chanted the more I seemed to understand what was written in this small book. Although I have never been an initiated member of ISKCON (I am not an expert) I love being around the devotees and learning from them. Recently I have been going through the Gita one sloka each day, reading Srila Prabhupada's purports and, when available, listening to his lectures on each sloka. I hope you enjoy what you find here.
