| Introduction | We are from Uganda, the pearl of Africa. Joy and I have been married for five years now. Joy loves to create with her hands, and I love public speaking. Our least favorite food is shrimp but our favorite American dish is Ruby Tuesday’s “Avocado Turkey Burger”. We don’t mind having 5 kids….(SP mostly). We really enjoy connecting with people. Our backgrounds are very similar; broken and dysfunctional in many ways. Both our turning points were at college. Joy was trying to break free from a past of bitterness and unforgiveness, and I was trying to figure out the future and life’s meaning. Jesus revealed His love that healed and assured us. Eight years later all we can say is our life has been a miracle. God does change people for real. Our dream is to lead Africa's largely orphaned generation of young people by creating intentional communities of transformation: churches of young people seeking God first, preventing AIDS and engaging their generation with God’s agenda. We want to mentor leaders and raise an army of world changers, who will be used of God to change this world that ‘He so loved.’ SP and JOY |
