| Introduction | It takes a long time to make a friend, when I do, they are with me for the long haul. Acquaintances are not friends. Some friends join the family category and they are mine forever.I feel an overwhelming need to do something worthwhile with my life on an ongoing basis. Retirement did not alter that. I do like to play with my friends, but I love to teach, to learn, to enjoy cultural activities...any combination of the previous would be great. Oh and travel...I have still not been to Europe, a situation I plan on changing this year. I love Florida in the winter and the Southwest whenever I can get there. I am usually found with a book or my Kindle and my Bichon,Zoe, She is the only dog that I know of who has been invited to Thanksgiving Dinner. She was good, I believe she will be invited back. My grandchildren are amazing! I thought that my children were great, but they have produced absolutely wonderful children, who are a delight to be with. Each is a uniquely amazing individual with some of characteristics of their parents and some that came from I don't know where. (;-]). |
