| Introduction | Why hellloooo there :) I'm Alexis, a crazy 23 year old cosmetologist that currently resides in the greater Harrisburg area. My best friend, whom is also the love of my life, is unfortunately incarcerated. Gage is also 23 years old (we are four days apart) and we've been friends since the sixth grade. In high school our friendship became a best friendship and finally during our senior year progressed into something much deeper. After these past 2 years (almost three!) of incarceration, Gage and I have learned a lot about the DOC and system in general. The days feel like years, yet the weeks go by fast as we bide our time during this dreaded 6 year minimum to 16 year maximum bid. Yikes I know... Over the years I have done lots of searching for ways to cope with the rollercoaster emotions and the terrible obstacles we have faced. I plan to use this blog to help others who face the same instances we do on a daily basis and also to hear new ideas from others whether it be coping or trying to think of that darn Christmas/Birthday gift. Both Gage and I are passionate about helping others especially in areas of our expertise. We hope that this blog will simply just do that :). |
| Interests | Our shared interests include music (both guitar players, Gage also played drums and I the violin), eating our faces off, art, watching ID channel and/or IQ declining television shows, laughing, growing within our spiritual faith and many more. Some of my personal interests are dancing, makeup artistry, drawing/crocheting/arts and crafts, and my future husby of course :). Gage however loves to write and is also phenomenal at doing so. He also loves to read and learn, loves being a sloth, playing guitar, and has a huge love for all animals. |

| Favorite Books | Gage is a huge Stephen King fan, however our favorite book is our Bible. :D |
