Introduction	I love sewing and have been doing it since I was 12 years old. I donate many of the things I make or give them as gifts. My call in life is to GIVE to others. So I now spend all my time making things with the Hook n Needle club. We donate items to the local hospital for the newborn babies. We also work all year making items for the Empty Stocking program. I love making my denim baby quilts and quilts for the teens. My love began in 1980 when I took old jeans, cut them into squares and made quilts for the teens in our neighborhood who needed covers for their beds. So then began my love of working with denim. i have been collecting jeans ever since and made all kinds of items. I also do work with the Military support group in our home town, and mail packages to our heroes serving our country. I enjoy working in the flower beds in the Spring and Summer too, but spend most of my extra time sewing all kinds of projects. Here in Texas we have such hot summers that I cherish my sewing room to keep me busy indoors. I always say "When someone gives you scraps, just make a quilt then you will have something valuable". Someone always needs a quilt or lap quilt!
