| Introduction | I am an Australian with Anglo-Welsh parents. I live in Malawi, South-Eastern Africa with my wife and two children where we have lived for more than 13 years. I am a perpetual student (at least that is what it feels like), although I work full time. I have recently completed my PhD, which is a study on the worldview of the Yawo of Malawi through an analysis of their rituals and traditional oral literature. In 2006 I published a book of Yawo traditional proverbs and stories, Wisdom of the Yawo people, Lunda lwa Ŵandu wa Ciyawo. I am currently co-writing a language book on the Yawo language, which my colleague and I hope to publish this year. |
