| Introduction | My novel is inspired by strange events that touched me deeply several years ago. Those events compelled me to write. It was a gift, and I shall cherish it always. I am a Southern California native, and no, I don’t surf. I don’t even have a pool or a tan for that matter. I don’t drive an electric car or take my dog shopping with me. I brew my own coffee, clean my own house, tend to my own landscaping, and cook my own meals. I’ve never posted a selfie, and don’t appreciate the lies of being PC. I’ve been writing “seriously” for over ten years. I love the blues, rock n’ roll, writers like Joe Nesbo, movies that are either whimsical comedies, psychological thrillers, mysteries, and of course fantasies and science fiction. The later because I think they depict truths that we don’t often hear much anymore. I work for a non-profit; I love my family, believe you should keep your word, expose evil even if it’s close to home, and bite your tongue when your words can only be cruel. I revere courtesy, public awareness, patience, and small acts of kindness in our “me” world. |
