| Introduction | Although born and raised in England, I have lived in Australia and worked as a children’s book author and editor for more than thirty-five years. Since 1990, I have lived in Cygnet, southern Tasmania, where I am a freelance children’s author. I am represented by the Jane Novak Literary Agency I'm married to a jazz musician and I'm a grandmother and even great-grandmother! Love having the family close by. Paul and I do public readings of my picture books and he accompanies the story on clarinet. It works well! |
| Interests | Writing, of course, mainly for children, but with occasional forays into adult literature. I am published by Scholastic Australia and Penguin. I read a lot and I love yoga. I'm a Christian and an advocate for refugees and children who suffer in wars - it just seems so wrong that they are innocent, yet often suffer the most. |
| Favorite Movies | Even after all these years, I think I still like British movies best. Especially anything with Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith or Emma Thompson |
| Favorite Music | According to my mood, I love jazz, classical and the music I danced to in the 1960s. |
