Introduction	i am a green iguana (iguana iguana) and am also known as the "common iguana". green iguanas are native to central and south america and some of us can grow to an average of 60". we are large impressive lizards, reminiscent of the dinosaurs of the yesteryears. we are purely herbivores (i.e. we ONLY eat plant matter) and hence are the vegans of the animal world. we are anything but "common", and co-habiting with us takes decades of dedication, on-going knowledge enhancement and plain guts. most times we end up being your victims, most of us die in the brutal transportation methods deployed in the animal trade that moves us to you, so please, stop perpetuating the trade and just leave us in the wild...
