Introduction After 5 years and approximately 11,000 billable hours (but who's counting), I left my job in NYC at a BigLaw Firm to move to the-middle-of-nowhere Massachusetts with my brand-new husband and our small dog. We bought a big house, a car and all sorts of other crap from Home Depot. My husband bought a pickup truck and started composting and likes to pretend that he's a farmer instead of a reporter. I got a job at a "small" law firm where I still measure my waking hours in 6-minute increments. Approximately 100 years ago, back when I was a blond, leggy undergraduate at Boston University studying medieval English literature (what, Chaucer IS a good time!) and sleeping with half the male staff of the college newspaper (NOT all at the same time), I wanted to be a non-fiction writer. I became a lawyer instead. This blog is my lame attempt to get back to writing. Besides, I need a hobby now that I'm not working 80 hours a week.
