| Introduction | My name is Lena Rasmussen. I am a self taught artist. I've made many attempts at trying to blog about myself and my art work over these past few years. I'm mostly self-taught and have taken some painting classes from local artists here on Vancouver Island. I paint mostly with vibrant colorful acrylics for most of my original paintings and I also dabble with watercolors. I have to paint! I dream of painting. It is what I am and what I do. I want to share my paintings now - with all of you. I have been extremely shy and sensitive to putting what I paint onto canvasses out there for the world to view. I am my biggest critic, and thus, over all these years I have not had the guts to show my paintings. I am daring myself this time to actually go through with it! I have to try to be fearless! To open my heart, my feelings, and be open with my art. I want to share my process for painting. And show paintings that I have changed over a hundred times... |
