| Introduction | Born and raised in New England, Kevin Kratka has had a passion for photography since at least age 10. Growing up, Kevin owned many different types of cameras, and experimented with various exposures and techniques. In high school, he was enrolled in the photo club, where he learned to the basics of developing his own prints in a darkroom environment. This inspired Kevin to build his own dark room at home so that he could continue to develop and process his own film and prints after school. However this idea would be short lived, as it required him to commandeer a shared family bathroom. Undeterred, Kevin never put down his camera, and today he is a regular contributor to the local newspaper in his hometown of Belfast, Maine. His work has been used on CNN, MSNBC, and his stock photography is used around the world in the Real Estate and Advertising industry. |
