Introduction	I am a democrat but sometimes I have republican moments. This statement just basically means that sometimes I tend to side with both. A good example of this would be the comment Prof Scott made about immigration. I agree that some should be here only if they are trying to make a better life for themselves but at the same time I feel as though some of the people immigrating to this country are taking advantage of some the tax payers in this country. This topic has come up a lot with me and my husband who was born here in the States and was raised in Panama by his grandmother. My in laws are immigrants but have decided to get their citizenship after being here for years and just getting their vices renewed ever so often, paying taxes and working hard without ever looking for a handout from the government.Oh and Yes I did vote for Obama! I have no regrets what so ever. You only learn by trying I guess. I initally started taking US Govt for university purposes but I have already learned so much more so because I have enjoyed the text. I
