Introduction Some things you should know about me: I love my kids, I love books, I love shoes, and I love scrapbooking. I have even gone so far as to scrapbook photos of my shoes. Yes, really. If you too can spend hours in a stationary aisle without getting bored, then you and I are clearly kindred spirits. I want to be able to look back forty years from now, when I (hopefully) have a little more time on my hands, and remember the great life I’m so busy loving living today. But my truest love (besides my kids, of course) is literature. You need only see the expression on my husband’s face when I come home with yet another book to understand the depth of my obsession. There is nary a room in our home without a book(shelf) in it. Admittedly, I’m no math major, but I’ve done the calculations and it’s extremely unlikely I can read them all in a 90-year lifetime. And let’s be honest, it’s not like I’m not going to add to my collection. If only my kids would accept Dostoevsky and Dickens as bedtime stories in lieu of Strawberry Shortcake…
