| Introduction | Recognizing that one is the product of one's "life-experiences" I, too, have been shaped by experience with the world as I have encountered and observed it. Growing up a white male in the USA I certainly have had many priveleges, but being part of a hidden minority I have also experienced the cruelty of bigotry and hatred that seems so indemic in the US. Being gay has certainly opened me up to appreciating the full-spectrum of diversity and always striving to understand other perspectives and points of view. |
