IntroductionAfter twenty-eight years of teaching and forty years of coaching, I still love what I do. I couldn't imagine doing anything else. The rewards and benefits that I have experienced and been gifted, outweigh the difficulties and struggles that I have encountered along the way. I truly feel blessed and grateful for having been given the opportunity to teach. However, with the number of changes in the education system over the recent years, I've seen a number of educators leave the profession early. Both young and old, new to the profession and experienced, educators are either exiting the profession completely, retiring and moving on, or retiring and joining the list of teachers on call, or talking about leaving the profession altogether. No matter what the reasons, the demands of our jobs in education have changed since I entered the profession in 1995. That is why I created this Journal for teachers, administrators, and educational support staff. I want to share my passion and the strategies I learned and practiced over the years that have helped me to keep my head "in the game" and focused on my "why".
